Board of Directors

Benjamin Wayne

Prior to Fliqz, Benjamin was President & CEO of Collabrys, a leading provider of outsourced customer acquisition and retention solutions for Global 1000 corporations, including Bank of America, Capital One, Visa, Estee Lauder, Clorox, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, Target, New York Life Insurance, and Prudential. Collabrys was acquired by E-Centives in 2004.

Prior to Collabrys, Benjamin was the founder, president, and CEO of Smartshop.com, an online comparison shopping portal that was acquired by CNET in 2000. Prior to Smartshop, Benjamin was president of BG&W Consulting, a South Korea-based market-entry consultancy whose clients included Coca-Cola, Disney, Benetton, Cathay Pacific Airways, Samsung, and the U.S. government.

Benjamin holds an undergraduate degree from Princeton and an MBA from the Harvard Business School, and he was a Fulbright Research Scholar to South Korea.


Jon Feiber

In more than 15 years of venture investing, Jon Feiber has identified and guided numerous entrepreneurs and played a significant role in growing category-leading companies. He leads investments in computing and infrastructure.

Jon launched his career at Amdahl as a senior engineer. He joined Sun Microsystems in 1983, where he worked in managerial positions overseeing product development and strategy in the areas of software development, software engineering technologies, and networking. When he left to join MDV in 1991, he was Sun's vice president of networking.

He serves on the Caltech Information Science and Technology Advisory Board.

Jon holds a bachelor's degree in computer science and mathematics from the University of Colorado.


Donald P. Hutchison

Don was among the defining principals who grew @Home (later Excite@Home) from concept to broadband industry leader. He served as senior vice president and formative general manager for the @Work division, a separate P&L that became a leading provider of internetworking services, contributing more than one-third of @Home's revenues.

While at Excite@Home, Don formed and later served as chairman and CEO of Work.com, a joint venture between Dow Jones and Excite@Home. Don established Work.com as a leading provider of detailed business information and services, with more than 1 million unique monthly users and $10 million in annual revenue, and earning a Media Metrix Top 10 B2B ranking.

Prior to @Home, Don drove Netcom Communications' rise as a pioneering Internet service provider. As SVP for sales and marketing, he led revenue growth from $2 million to more than $120 million between 1994 and 1996. With the company founder and CFO, he made Netcom the first pure-play Internet venture to go public.

Don earned his bachelor's degree from UC Santa Barbara (Economics) and his MBA from Loyola Marymount University (finance and organizational development).


Dain F. DeGroff

Dain F. DeGroff is a co-founding partner of Triangle Peak Partners, LP and serves as president. He has significant experience working with private and public companies, providing strategic, process, and financing solutions. Prior to Triangle Peak, he served as a managing director with Fort Mason Capital, where he conducted private, direct investments in private and public companies, focusing on the technology, alternative energy, and energy sectors.

Prior to Fort Mason, Dain was an investment banker at both Hambrecht & Quist and JP Morgan, where he executed numerous M&A, debt and equity transactions in the technology sector and also led both firms’ global efforts in wireless. Prior to his banking experience, he was a consultant for Accenture Consulting in its technology practice. Before entering the workforce, Dain completed the U.S. Navy's Nuclear Engineering program and served as a U.S. Navy Submarine officer on a fast-attack submarine.

He serves on the boards of Fliqz, Inc. and SendMe, Inc.

He received an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University.

Dain serves on the board of the Greater Bay Area Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
